Question: A typical capacitor in a laptop computer or MP3 player has a capacitance of around 1 nF (= 1.00 x 10-9 F). Assume it is a parallel-plate capacitor with plate area A = 3.0 cm2 using mica as the dielectric. Now suppose that the mica has been removed and there is air between the plates.
