A glass jar submerged half-way is foating in a bathtub . Suppose that you start putting nickel coins in the jar. According to the U. S. Mint each coin has a mass of 5:00 g. Assume that the jar has the shape of a cylinder with diameter D = 10:0 cm and height H = 8:00 cm. What is the maximum number of coins that one can put in the jar without sinking it to the bottom? Take the density of water to be 1:00 g=cm3.
