A settling chamber is to be used to collect particles with a density of 1200 kg/m3 from an air stream at 1.013 bar and 350 K. The volumetric flow rate is 2.0 m3/s. The overall chamber is 2.5 m high and 3 m wide. What is the maximum chamber length needed in order to collect 85% of the particles that are 60 microns in diameter? Assume mixed flow and use 0.0207 centipoise as the viscosity. Express your answer in meters to one decimal place.
