Through the critical analysis of this professional article, the student applies critical thinking skills, such as the ability to analyze and critically reason about various phenomena that arise in professional practice, argumentation aimed at issuing evidence-based judgments, identifying alternatives in problem solving, and evaluating the approaches or proposals of an author or authors regarding best practices in the practice of nursing.

B. Identify the main argument(s) of the author(s).
C. Explain the points of view of the author or authors.
D. Criticize the author(s)'s views on the article's topic.
E. Analyze the evidence presented by the author to support his arguments.
F. Assess the reliability of the evidence presented by the author to support his arguments.
G. Pass judgment on the conclusions of the author or authors.
H. Justify your position on the topic and the arguments of the author or authors.
I. Assess the importance or impact of the topic and the author's arguments on the clinical practice of the nursing professional.
General Instructions:
A. Remember to carefully read the instructions and criteria of the evaluation rubric before participating in this task.
B. This task will be performed individually.
C. The work you submit must be authentic and its originality will be verified using the Turnitin tool provided by Canvas to compare similarities and plagiarism.
Task
A. The student will conduct a literature search for professional articles related to nursing practice.
B. You will select one professional nursing article, published less than five years ago, that is related to one of the following topics:
a. Using information and communication technology to improve medication administration.
b. Technology in the management of medication errors.
c. Technological advances in drug delivery.
C. Articles cannot be repeated between students. Students must submit their selected topic to be approved or rejected by the professor.
D. The student will explain in four sentences what were the reasons they had for choosing the article they selected?
E. After reading and analyzing the article, the student will present a brief summary of the publication's content in only 250 words, placing special emphasis on answering the following questions:
a. What is the main argument of the author(s) in this article?
b. What other points of view do the author(s) propose in this article?
c. What evidence (data, facts, studies carried out and related, among others...) presented by the author supports his arguments?
d. How reliable is the evidence presented by the author(s) to support their arguments?
F. Conclusion or conclusions reached by the author or authors.

The student will explain in his or her own words what his or her professional position is on the topic of the article, taking into consideration the following:
A. Do you agree with the author's conclusions and arguments? Explain your response, whether in favor of or against the author's arguments.

C. What implications do the author(s)' findings or recommendations have for nursing practice and for you in particular?
