Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner are fictional cartoon characters. The premise of the cartoon is that Wile E. Coyote unsuccessfully tries to catch the very fast and clever Roadrunner. Wile E. Coyote is riding on a wagon which travels on frictionless railroad tracks. Wile E. and the wagon have a combined mass of 100 kg and they are moving to the right with an initial velocity v = 5 m/s i (i is a unit vector pointing to the right). Suddenly the wagon on which Wile E. is riding collides with another wagon which is initially at rest. The second (initially stationary) wagon also has a mass of 100 kg. After a perfectly elastic collision, Wile E. and his wagon come to rest.
a.) What is the momentum of the second wagon after the collision?
b.) What is the magnitude of the impulse on Wile E. and his wagon?
c.) What is the magnitude of the impulse on the second wagon?
