The figure below shows the cross section of a current-carrying wire immersed in an external uniform magnetic field B~ ext. The external magnetic field points along the z-axis and the wire runs perpendicular to the magnetic field, as shown. When wire A carries a current iA, you measure the net magnetic field to be zero at point 1 and B2 at point 2.

A) What is the magnitude and direction of the electrical current in wire A? Your answer may be expressed in terms of d, B2, and physical constants, but NOT B~ ext (since you didn't measure that).

A second wire is introduced at point 3 (see wire B in the figure below). Wire B is parallel to wire A and the magnitude and direction of its electrical current is the same as what you found in part c for wire A. If both wires have a length L, calculate the magnitude and direction of the net force on wire B. Your answer may depend on the current i you found in the previous part, L, d, and any physical constants, but NOT B~ ext.
