A Class I rural highway segment of 10 miles in level terrain has a base free-flow speed (BFFS) of 65 mph. The cross section has 12-ft lanes and 6-ft clear shoulders on both sides of the road. There are an average of 20 access points per mile along the segment and 20% of the segment consists of "no-passing" zones. Current traffic on the facility is 800 vph, with 10% trucks and no RVs. The directional distribution of traffic is 70/30, and the PHF is 0.87. Using a directional analysis, what is the level of service expected in each direction on this segment?
