Case Study: Here's your final. It's easy. I did the whole thing in fifteen minutes. All you need to do is chose one, nje, uno, x, eins, to respond to in essay form (unless you choose a creative option, like 10, and then the length is up to you). Remember, an essay has to have an introduction (with a thesis somewhere), support, and conclusion. You should refer to the text or texts you've chosen as necessary, using direct quotes or references to specific events or lines within the text. The essay is due by December 20th, an absolute deadline since I have to put in your grades on the morning of December 22nd, otherwise you'll end up with an Incomplete grade for the course. (You can actually ask for an Incomplete grade, if you decide you can't finish the work; this means you have two semesters to finish the work. It must be one that comes out of of the seven types of oral tradition (myth, legend, fable, teaching tale or parable, FOAF, fabliaux, fairy tale). The story can be as long or as short as you want, but, you must critique your own story, explaining how it fits the type of oral tradition that you think you are using.
