Here is the question which I am struggling on, please help me!
Question: What is the kinetic energy of the Earth's rotational (spin) motion? If someone wants to stop the Earth's spin, how much force does the person (must be super-duper being!) need to use if the force is applied to the equator at the right angle (thereby getting the maximum torque)? Hint: treat Earth as a solid sphere and find the appropriate moment of inertia.
If possible just a brief explanation how you got the answer? Please provide each step and detailed calculation. Thanks.
