The flywheel in a car is a solid cylinder with a mass of 100 kg, a radius of 11 cm, and a length of 5.0 cm. It is rotating about an axis through its center (Table 11.2 (c)) at 4600 rpm (revolutions per minute).

(a) What is the kinetic energy of the cylinder?

(b) Suppose that all this rotational kinetic energy could be transformed into translational kinetic energy of the car, mass 1200 kg. If the car started from rest, what would its final speed be?
