A social worker has an ethical and professional obligation to not only support individuals who have been victimized by abuse or neglect but to also participate in community advocacy that can address systemic issues that may lead to child abuse. In this assessment, you will explain advocacy practices social workers can engage in to raise awareness and enhance protections for vulnerable children.
Explain advocacy practices for supporting individuals who have experienced abuse. Be sure to indicate whether your advocacy plan is for young children or adolescents.
