A sightseeing tourist submarine is constructed. The portals along the side can be assumed to be essentially flat, vertical and 1 meter in diameter. Assume a specific weight of seawater of 10,000 N/m3.

a) If the submarine operates at a depth of 75 meters (to the center of the side portals), what is the hydrostatic force on one of the side portals, in KPa?

b) In relation to the center of a side portal, where is the center of pressure located, in cm?

c) Due to the presence of both upper and lower ballast tanks, both the submarine's weight and center of gravity can be adjusted. Also assume the center of gravity must remain above the center of buoyancy.
