Now, write a 3 - 5 page report based on your assigned readings in Fischer & Hart and Marinelli, your research on the denomination, what you observed during the service, your interview with the pastor or equivalent, and the contents of the church bulletin or newsletter, if available (you do not need to submit the bulletin with your report). This report should include the name of the church, the Christian denomination, the name of the pastor or equivalent, and a detailed description of the service. The report should include your religious affiliation, if any, and address the following:
What is the history of this Christian denomination (e.g., when was this denomination founded, by whom, where, why)?
Describe the worship service. What is the main focus? What activities take place? How do the people interact with each other?
What is the mission of this congregation? (Many churches have a mission statement; check the bulletin, website, or ask during your interview)
How does this congregation live out their mission based on what you observed, what you read in the bulletin or newsletter and what you learned during the interview?
What did you like about the service/congregation/denomination? What challenged you and why?
