Continuous innovations require the least amount of learning in order to operate and are improved products that already exist, but have upgraded functions. These include products like hygiene items, TVs, and gaming consoles.

Dynamically continuous innovations require moderate learning for consumer operation, yet is not unfamiliar. These include products like smart phones, Smart TVs, and electronic hygiene items.

Discontinuous innovations require the most learning from consumers in order to operate. These include products like electronic vehicles, wireless routers, and digital video recorders.
