Discussion Prompt: Creation, Re-Creation, and Resurrection

Option 1:

The Bible clearly teaches that one day Christ will return to the earth for his bride, the church. Over the past 2,000 years many have looked to the sky with the feeling that His coming was imminent. Generations have come and gone while waiting. It is true that Christ may come this very day. But it is also true that many have and will face death before His return. Death is as much a part of our existence as is birth (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). It is only the foolish that refuse to face this truth. What is your personal concept of death and how are you preparing for the time when death will indeed come to you?

Option 2:

"Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him" (Hebrews 9:27-28). Just as death is part of life so judgment is part of death. What is the great hope of the Christian concerning judgment? Be sure to use at least one scripture reference to support your thoughts.
