Topic: This unknown rod was recovered from a water sample. It stained blue on the stain for lipids in the cell wall area and pink on the gram and the stain designed to detect survival structures. It grew as a nice round raised white dot on nutrient agar and showed no clearing on the plate that looks like a "frosted bathroom window." There was a dark shadow around it on the stain using India ink. The Lysine slant-deep showed nothing. The hanging drop showed shadowy microbes but no tumbling after 20 min of focusing under oil and the oxygen determination broth showed a "tampon string" hanging from the thick growth at the top of the tube and extending to the bottom of the tube. There was a solid red line down the center at the very top of the gel stab and which soon became dispersed EMB showed a deep chunk in the agar where it was inoculated and but no growth as if the loop was too hot during inoculation while the McConkey's plate was broken in the incubator and lazy mutant test after O/N was creamy. The Nitratratase test was pink after reagents and zinc. This microbe showed bubbles on the clean slide test and the diauxic growth test was not done. One green agar remained the same after testing and the other had salmon color around the growth. Urea broth was yellow. Mixed acids test was yellow then orange after reagent while the Litmus milk was white without any whey and the old slant test showed grey, black and grey as the drops rolled down the old slant. The broth where you took 2 and inoculated and incubated this one for 2 weeks was beige after reagents and sitting. 1 of the Carb broths was yellow and the salt 1 was pink; the other was broken and the test made from cow horns was a gel when removed from the incubator at 10 days and cooled. The tryptophanase test broth was red only on the top layer after reagents and shaking vigorously. The clear broth showed bubbles.
Question: What is the Genus of this unknown microbe?
