A spider's web can undergo SHM when a fly lands on it and displaces the web. For simplicity, assume that a web obeys Hooke's law (which it does not really as it deforms permanently when displaced). If the web is initially horizontal, and a fly landing on the web is in equilibrium when it displaces the web by 0.030 mm, what is the frequency of oscillation when the fly lands?
