A long straight wire carries a current of 4.5 A. The wire is horizontal in the plane of the page (screen) and the current is traveling to the right. An electron is 3.8 cm below the wire and moving to the left, parallel to the wire at a speed of 5.25x106 m/s.

a. What is the force that acts on the electron?

b. What is the direction of the force? (Left, right, up, down, in or out?)
