A 10% Atmospheric Dump Valve (ADV) at a PWR relieves steam at 1100 psia when the enthalpy required to make a pound of steam is 632 Btu/lbm. What is the flow rate through the valve if the core power is 3300 MWth? Hint: The energy removed by the ADV is primarily the energy required to boil the steam. There is a little more energy required to warm up the feedwater to saturated temperature, but that is only a fraction of the energy to boil the water. Hence the energy release will be 632 Btu/lbm multiplied by the flow rate. Be careful about your units. If the flow is in lbm/s, the power will be in Btu/s. Please show work
