An engine requires 800 J of heat as it produces mechanical work. You determine that internal energy changes by 300 J. What is the efficiency of the engine? (Express as a percent)

Find the heat required for an isobaric process where 1m3 of gas at a pressure of 6x105 Pa expands to 7 m3 if the internal energy increases by 51000 J.

The initial volume in a rotary compressor is 1.1 cubic foot. Air at a pressure of 1 ATM enters the compressor and the volume is reduced to 0.3 cubic foot. Assuming that compression is slow, and therefore the process is isothermal, what is the resulting pressure? (Note: OK to leave in cubic ft, it will cancel out. Leave final pressure in ATM)

Find the work done in an isochoric process where the pressure goes from 1x105 Pa to 6x105 Pa.

Find the work done in an isobaric process where 1m3 of gas at a pressure of 5x105Pa expands to 6 m3.

Find the work done in an Isochoric process, if the volume = 8 L and the pressure goes from 270000 Pa to 600000 Pa

How much external work is done by an ideal gas in expanding from a volume of 5 liters to a volume of 13 liters against a constant pressure of 120000 Pa? (Notice: put answer in Joules, not Pa L, whatever THAT is...)
