A) A ball rolling horizontally on a 1.0 m high countertop at 1.0 m/s arrives at the counter edge and rolls off, finally hitting the ground below, at some distance from the base of the counter. Roughly sketch the path of the ball in the air, and paste a picture of it here. Show estimates of the vectors of the ball's velocity at four different points along the path: right at the counter edge, two points where it is falling, and a point just before it hits the ground. Show also on the plot the x and y components of the velocity vectors.

B) For the ball in in previous section, if initially it is at the counter edge, x0 = 0 and y0 = h =1.00 m at t = 0, with the horizontal velocity v0x = 1.00 m/s, what is the time tf when it hits the ground? What is the distance xf from the base of the counter when it hits? Show your formulas for tf and xf, and the numerical result.
