One afternoon, a couple hikes 70.0 % of the way around a circular lake, the radius of which is 2.30 km . They start at the west side of the lake and head due south to begin their hike.

1)What is the displacement for the couple's hiking trip?

2)Assume that the couple walks at a constant speed for the entire duration of their hiking trip. Consider two instants in their trip, with the first instant being when the couple was at the Southernmost point in their trip, and the second instant being when the couple was at the Easternmost point in their trip. What was the change in velocity of the couple between these two instants in time?
