In Figure, there is a uniform magnetic field of magnitude B = 2.3 T and directed into the plane of the paper in the region shown. Outside this region the magnetic field is zero. A rectangular loop 0.20 m by 0.60 m and of resistance 8 ohm is being pulled into the magnetic field by an external force, as shown. What is the direction (clockwise or counterclockwise) of the current induced in the loop? Calculate the magnitude of the external force Fext required to move the loop at a constant speed of v = 3.9 m/s. The mass of the loop is 0.008 kg.
