A 24kg projectile is moving at 240m/s in the positive direction of the x axis when it explodes and divides into two fragments, one of them with a mass of 10kg is seen moving in a direction 45 degrees above the x-axis at a speed of 120m/s.

a) What is the direction and speed of the other piece?

b) If instead the speed of the first piece is 200m/s, what is the angle and speed of the second piece (compare with the first case).

c) Calculate the speed of the center of mass of the system before and after the explosion.
