Medicare has scheduled a coding and billing audit with your medical practice. As the medical office manager, one must coordinate and plan for employees what are some ways a medical office can to prepare for the audit. What is the main purpose of the audit, and what must one prepare for the audit, and what happens if noncompliance is found? Also, what should be done throughout the year to ensure compliance with regulation?
