-A tank containing polyester resin (SG = 1.2) is open to the atmosphere at the top. A U-tube manometer is connected to the side of the tank 1 m up from the bottom. The resin in the manometer has a height of 0.8 m below the tank connection. The manometer uses Mercury as the fluid and has a differential Mercury height of 0.8 meters. What is the depth of resin in the tank?

-A walkway through a salt water (gsw = 10.1 kN/m3) aquarium tank has a cylindrical acrylic top 2 m wide. The highest point of the top is 1.5 m below the water surface. What is the pressure on the dome at this depth? What is the resultant vertical force on the dome per meter of length? Where is this resultant force located?

-A fresh water (g = 1 ton/m3) barge 10 m wide by 40 m long has a draft (height of water on the outside of the barge) of 0.5 m. How much does the barge weigh? If 600 tons of gravel is loaded into the barge, what is the new draft?
