For this assignment you are to consider having a buffet meal at your event and see the positive effects for choosing this type, know the costs, required staff and space requirements. Consider layout, type of service, carvery stations, buffet lines (one or two sided buffet), food layout, buffetscape (decorations and setup must support your event theme), and chosen menus and pricing. There are many Internet sites that have menu suggestions for buffets and pricing per person. All meals are figured on per person pricing whether buffet or served. Keep in mind the type of event you are planning, as you would serve different types of menus for festive vs. formal events.
Write at least a one page paper describing the buffet that would work best for your event. Include, the layout style, length (how many and why types of tables needed), how many lines, decorations, serving pieces food type, layout and the costs. Figure in your costs; staff, buffetscape, food and carvery station if you have one.
Also on a separate page explain the coffee station(s) you will provide, where it (or they) are located, will you have one or more (depending on number of guests) and how will it be laid out.
This assignment will be a two page Word document in one file. You will write your buffet description/summary on the first page. The second page will be the description/summary for your coffee stations.
