5. How did your move go? Were there any difficulties during the move? There were no difficulties during my move. There were difficulties in adaptation.
6. What was difficult in adapting? It was difficult to adapt to new cultural values and to a different charge for life. And of course, to a new language.
7. What difficulties did you have to face? And how did you manage to overcome them? I had difficulties in finding housing, finding my first job, enrolling in the university, and also buying a car.
8. What support did you receive from the local community or authorities? I received help from the authorities to pay for my university and, of course, help in finding housing.
9. What was your first impression of this country? My first impression of this country was surprise, and I had a thirst to quickly find out everything.
10. What did you like most about the new country? The fact that there is great potential here, a great diversity of cultures, and one goal - to live freely and independently.
11. What do you do (work, study) and was it easy to find a job? At the moment, I am studying at the university and working part-time in the evenings.
12. Did you find new friends or a community in the new country? I have found new friends with whom I am friends and who support me and help me. Naturally, it was difficult to start communicating because of my lack of confidence in my knowledge of the language, but with the help of my friends with whom I spoke English, I managed to learn this language well.
13. What is the composition of your home country? My country consists mostly of Ukrainians and Russians. But there are also Belarusians, Moldovans, Crimean Tatars, Bulgarians, Hungarians, Romanians, Poles, Jews and other nationalities.
14. What is your nationality and your parents' nationality? My parents and I are Ukrainians because we were all born in Ukraine. 15. What cultural differences did you notice first? First of all, I noticed that people very often go to bed earlier, do not take off their shoes in the house, and can go to work on the second of January right after the New Year.
16. What traditions are there in your home country and which ones do you continue to observe here? The tradition that was in my country and which I continue to observe is taking off shoes when entering the house.
17. What holidays or traditions did you adopt in the new country? I began to celebrate holidays such as Independence Day, Thanks Thanksgiving. I began to keep a distance between people and say hello and ask "Hey, how are you?" In my country, it is not customary for people to keep a distance between people and ask "How are they?" and "How was their day?"
18. Do you regret moving to a new country? Absolutely not because here I am confident in my future.
19. What benefits and opportunities did you receive from moving to a new country? I have access to high-quality education, new connections, and a family because I am planning to get married soon.
20. What advice would you give to those who are just planning to emigrate? I would advise them not to be afraid of difficulties, not to be afraid of changes in life and always have faith that everything will work out.
