In the lab frame, a point charge of +q is at rest between two streams of positive charge moving at c/3. The charge per unit length in the line of moving charges is ?C/m. In the lab frame, the electrostatic forces on charge q add up to zero, and the charge remains at rest. Consider now the situation from frame of reference that is moving to the right at a speed of c/3 to answer the following question: What is the charge per unit length for each line of charge according to the observer in the moving frame? Thanks in advancefor any and all assistance with this question.
