As the result of heat transfer the water obtains thermal equilibrium with the surrounding, which are at a temperature of 30 degree C. What is the change in entropy of the water going from state 1 to state 2? If the surroundings are treated as a thermal reservoir, what is the total change in entropy of the universe due to this cooling process?
