What is the cause of this sea star wasting? What does this have to do with us people? Why should we care about a loss of biodiversity? Is one species (actually many species of sea stars) really that important? Sure the reason given is a virus, but is there more to it than that? Should I blame it, like I do everything such as the Lakers losing in overtime, on global warming? In SoCal, we blame everything on El Nino (and Russell Westbrook). Does El Nino have anything to do with it?
