Question 2: Based on the history of civil rights movements what is the better approach to civil rights: a gradual path that focuses on passing laws and winning cases in court, or a more direct approach that includes direct action and acts of civil disobedience like boycotts and protests in order to change laws? Or is it a combination of both? Why do you consider this to be the better solution, based on what we learned this week?
