Question - Elizabeth is a 23-year- old married mother of 2-year-old twin boys who moves in the apartment adjacent to yours. Despite her ability to state her first name, she is unable to recall her last name or that she has a husband and family her husband, Seth, tells you that 3 weeks prior to the onset of the symptoms Elizabeth was in a car accident in which the other vehicle involved was thrown into the path of a semi-truck. The mother and two children who were passengers in the vehicle were killed on impact. Seth states that after the accident she was treated for miner its and released from the local hospital. Now, several weeks later, Elizabeth is unable to recall any details of the accident or recognize him or the twins as familiar. She has been spending most of her days sitting in the porch swing the has not attempted to care for the boys or to interact with them since the accident. Seth is crying and afraid she will never mentally come back to them.
