Kansas and Kansas State played each other in a basketball game... and the end got out of hand, if you do not remember and for general reference here is the extended video. (More recently Michigan & Michigan State had a fight within the tunnel after the game as another example).

1. What is the Assumption of Risk for the players, coaches, staff, fans, etc. at this event?

2. Were any torts committed by the Player's, Coaches, Officials, Staff, Fans?

3. What is the Duty of Care of the Facility, and was any of these Duties Breached?

4. At the 7:42 mark of the video, Kansas State begins to shoot technical foul free throws

  • The announcers explain this is due to "the new rules"
  • Is the NCAA/Big 12 responsible for any torts here?
  • Is this correct and a solid form of risk management?
