Jay is a 3-year-old who attends daycare. For the past 2-days, he has been waking with his eyes crusted shut, mild redness and itching in both eyes. His nose has been running with clear drainage. His highest temperature was 99. Otherwise he has been at his baseline for activity, sleep, voiding and BMs. The NP notes yellow-green purulent discharge from both eyes with mild conjunctival erythema, nasal congestion with clear rhinorrhea, flat tonsils without erythema, no cervical adenopathy and clear breath sounds. What is the appropriate treatment?
