A solid cylinder (with a radius of 25cm and a mass of 4.4kg) is rotating counterclockwise with an angular speed of 0.5 revolutions per second just above a flat surface. It drops onto the surface and rolls with slipping on a surface with a coefficient of kinetic friction of u_k_ = 0.15.

a) What torque due to friction is exerted on the cylinder? Also draw a picture labeling the force of friction, lever arm, and direction of rotation.

b) What is the magnitude and direction of the initial angular momentum vector of the cyclinder?

c) What is the angular velocity of the cyclinder after .35 seconds slipping?
