An object of mass m is tied to a light string wound around a wheel that has a moment of inertial I and radius R. The wheel bearing is frictionless, and the string does not slip on the rim. (Generate the equations; don't just state them).

Use the following; the moment of inertia for the wheel as mr2; the mass of the wheel is 1.0 kg, the radius of the wheel is 25.0 cm and the mass of the object is 2 kg).

a) Find the tension in the string

b) Find the acceleration of the object.

c) What is the angular momentum (L) of the wheel after 3 seconds?

d) What is the speed of a point on rim of the wheel after 3 seconds?
