A college Student went to an amusement park where they rode a ridecalled the rotor. It is essentially a large, hollow cylinder thatis rotated rapidly around its central axis. Before the ride begins, the rider enters the cylinder and stands in the floor against thewall. then as the cylinder then begins to turn, the rider, wall, and floor all move in unison. After 10 seconds, the floor dropsaway, but the rider remains stuck to the wall. Suppose that thecoefficient of static friction between the riders clothing and thewall is 0.40 and that the 5000 Kg cylinder radius is 2.1m

a) What minimum velocity must the cylinder and rider have ifthe rider is to not fall when the floor drops?

b) What is the angular acceleration required for the floor todrop after 10 seconds?

c) what amount of torque must be applied to the cylinder bythe motor running the ride.
