A 50 kg person is riding a Ferris wheel. The Ferris wheel consists of 8 metal cars, each with mass 1500 kg located 15 m from the center. The Ferris wheel starts from rest, and the motor applies a 500 N torque to it for 1 minute. The mass of the frame is small enough comparably that you can neglect it.

a) What is the angular acceleration of the Ferris wheel?

b) What is the speed of the car after the torque is applied?

c) Determine the person's apparent weight at the top and bottom of the Ferris wheel.
