(a) Suppose a certain large fish starts out at a depth where the absolute pressure is 2.1 atm and with gas bladder volume 5.0 × 10-4 m3. It then dives down to a depth where its swim bladder is compressed to 3.5 × 10-4 m3 (before the gas gland has had a chance to act). Assume that the temperature of the gas ??? remains constant at the internal temperature of the fish's body, 5°C. What is the absolute pressure at that new depth?

(b) To achieve neutral buoyancy at its new location, the fish uses its gas gland to re-inflate its swim bladder to the original volume. What is the mass (in grams or kilograms) of oxygen that the fish must extract from its blood to do that? The added gas, too, has a temperature of 5°C.
