Solitary Confinement: Forensics
INSTRUCTIONS
Solitary confinment is a method of punishment for incarcerated individuals. They are put into a room by themselves with no one to talk to and no contact to even speak to another person. In this lesson you are going to watch videos and read articles about what solitary confinement is like. Then you will read an article about someone who was not even convicted, that was forced to spend two years in solitary confinement.
Once you've finished watching the videos and reading the articles, you'll create a presentation (in PowerPoint) outlining what solitary confinement is, if you believe it should be abolished, and persuading your audience that it is a form or torture or you think that it serves its purpose. You will use facts from what you hear, see and read to create your presentation.
