What is Routine Activities Theory (RAT)? What are the 3 main tenants (and define each in y our own words)? In the lecture and notes on RAT, we discussed the skyrocketing rates of crime in the late 50's until the late 70's. What are the reasons given for these rate increases? What role did the movement of women from "housewife" to the regular workforce play in these crime rates? Finally, what role did technology play in the same rising crime rates?
