What is a romantic relationship? What are our expectations of a relationship and that other person? When is the right time to enter into an intimate relationship?

Let me branch out a little.... what constitutes a wonderful gift from a significant other? Do we open ourselves up to let that person know our expectations or wants? or do we expect that individual to just know?
