What is public health nutrition? PHN protects and promotes the health of our people and the community where they live, learn, work and play. PHN prevent diseases before they happen, through nutrition and lifestyle changes, they address social determinants of health. Factors that lie outside our genetic makeup or healthcare but affect our health. PHN restores broken food systems, reduces food waste, and ends hunger. PHN fights for health equity, food and nutrition security and environmental justice. PHN works towards creating a world, where everyone regardless of their skin color, ethnicity, religious belief, immigration status, sexual orientation, has equitable access to achieve optimal health. Who are we? We are health educator, policy advocates, change agents, champions of policy, system and environmental transformation, we are public health dietitians.
