Question: As Peterson writes in the "Sounds" chapter, linguists are concerned with locating the specific manners and place of articulating speech sounds. Look at the places of articulation for consonants and vowels (pages 33 and 41 respectively) and then consider what studying where and how we articulate sounds can tell us about language.
