Lisa is the logistics coordinator at MAP Law, where she organizes lawyers' travel arrangements for client work. One of the lawyers, Jason, is trying a case in Atlanta, 700 miles from the office. His travel options are to either fly or drive. The hotel arrangements in Atlanta have already been made. Here are the travel costs Lisa has estimated for each option: Drive Mileage reimbursement (1,400 miles total, at $0.55 per mile) Meal reimbursement (3 days total, at $44/day) Fly Flight ($290 round trip) Meal reimbursement (2.5 days on travel status, at $44/day) Parking at airport ($75) In the end, Jason decides to drive because he's excited about his new car, plus, he thinks the firm owes him for having suffered too many poor flights on previous trips.
