Artemis was an eternal virgin whose virginiy forgers a connection between her and the nymphs with whom she is frequently depicted. It associates her closely with the life cycle of young women as she haunts the forests and open spaces oiutside cities, houses and cultivated fields. This compares to the depiction in Hymn 27 because although she's a woman she was know to hunt although she was a protector of animals. Apollo oversees the cultural accomplishments and practices of medicine and prophecy in addition to his violence that is tempered by his embodiment of the cultural srts: poetry and music. In Hymn 3, we see that Apollo is known for his muscial talents with his lyre and mentoring young men. This depicts youthfulness because Artemis was known to be a young and brave soul with Apollo love for musical talents and creativity and connection with the youth associates greatly with youthfulness.
