Introduction
Nationalism = Identification with one's own nation and support of its interests, ESPECIALLY TO THE EXCLUSION OR DETRIMENT OF THE INTERESTS OF OTHER NATIONS.
Populism = A POLITICAL APPROACH that strives to appeal to ordinary people who feel that their concerns are disregarded by established elite groups.
The ideologies which populism can be paired with are often contradictory, resulting in DIFFERENT FORMS OF POPULISM that can oppose each other. Simply put, you can see populism on BOTH the political right and the political left, although the only real similarity between the two has to do with the way different groups of ordinary people ("the people") feel disregarded by established elite groups.
