Problem

Describe the three categories (types) of unemployment. Does the official (U3) measure of unemployment take "underemployed" workers and "discouraged workers" into account? Define the terms and provide the latest percentage for both U3 and U6. What is meant by the term the "natural rate of unemployment" and what percentage of unemployment is considered the natural rate in the U.S.? What is likely to occur in an economy if unemployment drops below the "natural level"? Do you know anyone who meets the definition of a discouraged worker, a marginally attached worker, or an underemployed worker? Why do you think that they have not found suitable work?
