Question Description - What does an epidemiologist actually do?

What is meant by the phrase "correlation does not imply causation"? How do epidemiologists address this issue?

Give your own example of what this looks like in "real" life.

Describe systematic error, random error, selection bias, and information bias using your own examples if you can. Why are these important considerations in epidemiology especially?

You will need to know the definitions of endemic, epidemic, and pandemic disease outbreaks. In your own post, find and list two diseases of each type and then choose just one of those to discuss a little further. What is the disease you chose? Who first discovered it? What is thought to cause or spread the disease? Is there a cure or treatment for this disease? If so, what is it and how was it discovered?
